I'm loving these relaxed denim looks - especially the jeans in the top left corner which have been so carefully patched. I'm planning to patch up the next pair that rips in a similar fashion. I think it's a great way to give them new life.

Happy Holidays!
I'm enjoying a bit of time off - and hope that you are as well! This is my first Christmas away from my family, but I am glad to be spending time with Steve's family and learning their traditions. I'm wishing you all a relaxing holiday filled with family, friends, and good food!

Thoughts
This week I've felt so heartbroken for all of those who lost loved ones in Newtown, CT. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult this is, and am still shocked by the events. I have no words, and so instead I'm sharing photos from Cape Cod as I find them to be comforting. We have friends that live in a neighboring town and their co-workers daughter was a victim. I wanted to pass along the link to a fund which is being set up in their daughter Emilie's name in case anyone is looking for a way to show their support for the family. USA Today also has a list of ways to help which I found through Mrs. French's blog.
See the rest of the photos after the jump.

Matisse at the Met
It's been a while since I've made it to a museum, even though I really enjoy going. I'm definitely going to make it to this new Matisse exhibit that's at the Met through mid-March. Aren't the colors fantastic? I'm feeling inspired already.

Ilana Kohn Marbled Pants
You may remember me mentioning Ilana Kohn on the blog before. I love her prints, especially her marbled designs. I'm seriously loving these marbled pants (especially the ones on the left)- but am not sure I could pull them off! What do you think? Would you try this look?

Holiday Inspiration
We're trimming our tree and getting ready for the holidays. I just love having a Christmas tree as it makes the whole apartment smell wonderful. What are your favorite things about this time of year?
